Vasilevich Zaretsky

Colombia • 1876−1959

He graduated from the Tver cavalry school and Drawing school of the Society for the encouragement of arts (1912). Since 1920 in exile in Berlin. He was the Chairman of the Union of Russian painters, sculptors and architects. From 1931 he lived in Prague. In 1951 he moved to Paris, where he died. The personal archive of the artist stored in the Literary archives of the Museum of national literature in Prague and the archive of the Columbia University in new York.
