Biography and information
Mecklenburg-Schwerin, a citizen; he worked in Copenhagen. In 1861, the Academy was given the title of academician of painting batalicheskih. In 1868 he asked to take it to the Russian citizenship and to honor the title of Professor, but was refused, as not lived in Russia for five years, and the paintings were not found to be satisfactory for the desired title.
