Biography and information

About his artistic education we know nothing to his stay in Italy, where he studied under the guidance Tiepolo (Giovanni Batista Tiepolo) and the painting "the Conversation of Diogenes with Alexander the great," for which, in 1762, Imp. The Academy of Arts awarded him the title of academician; the title of this, however, he soon lost, as it is not represented patterns for a given program; however, we see him in 1763 among the teachers of the Academy. Later, he was "a master in scenic tapestry Manufactory", and died in retirement, getting retirement. From his works, besides those mentioned above, known: "Resurrection", written also abroad, "the Praying mother of God", a copy, according to A. I. Somov — Guido Reni, in his opinion. P.
