Painter-a landscape painter, the son of Nizhyn Greek, born in 1823, was educated at the Imperial Academy of Arts under the guidance of Professor M. N. Vorobiev . Passing an academic course, was awarded in 1851 for a residence in the vicinity of Viborg, a small gold medal, and next year, for another view from the same locality, and was awarded a large medal with the title of artist XIV class and with the right to travel abroad as a pensioner of the Academy. Going on this trip in 1854, he worked in Geneva under the leadership of A. Kalam and more than any of his students learned the nature and techniques of his painting. In 1857, for he sent me from Geneva three types of neighborhoods of this city, the Academy has recognized Erase an academician, and then, in 1860, the views over the Lake of Four cantons (located in the Moscow public Museum), lake Geneva and the Reichenbach falls (at the Tretyakov gallery in Moscow) elevated it to the rank of Professor. His works appeared in recent times, the academic exhibition in 1863, Since that time, he settled near Berlin, completely gave up painting.
