(November 5, 1878, Moscow - April 17, 1977, ibid), painter, teacher. In 1893-1901 he studied at the Moscow Stroganov school of S. A. Vinogradov, S. V. Ivanov, S. V. But-Makovskogo. After graduation he lived and worked in Ukraine, he taught drawing in the public schools of the city of Voskresensk Kherson province. (1901-05) and Odessa (1906-17), in 1920-30 - in the Odessa Institute of public education. From 1930 he lived in Moscow, taught in the educational institutions - the Moscow art school. M. I. Kalinin (1932-38), at the faculty of arts of the Moscow textile Institute (1936-40), the Moscow Institute of applied and decorative art (1938-40) and the Moscow architectural Institute (1933-58). The author of the textbook "a Practical guide to watercolor painting" (Moscow, 1937).

In his own work K. developed the traditions of Russian plein air painting con. 19 - early 20th centuries, much effort was paid to the architectural and landscape compositions. From 1908 he participated in the exhibitions of the Society of Russian watercolorists, Moscow Association of artists, Art society. K. K. Kostandi and other art associations. Among his works are paintings "the Kremlin. Moscow" (1908), "Boyarskaya Usadba" (1914), "Pines" (1915), watercolor "Architectural Kolomna" (1935 series), "the Church in Safarino" (1948), "River in autumn" (1968), "the Village of Dyakovo" (1973) and others also Worked in the field of theatrical-decorative art - executed sketches scenic design of operas "Eugene Onegin" by P. I. Tchaikovsky (1925, Odessa Opera theatre), and "Boris Godunov" M. P. Musorgsky (1932, Tbilisi Opera and ballet theatre).
