Honored artist of the RSFSR. Commander of the Order of the red banner, order of the red Star, two Orders of the great Patriotic war of I degree.
In 1936 he graduated from the First Leningrad art College (teachers
M. Brodsky, L. Karataev).
In 1953 he made a trip on the Volga river, and then decided to settle
in Kuibyshev.
In 1955, headed by Kuibyshev branch of the Union of Artists of the RSFSR. He was the leading painter of the Volga region.
In 1965, in the background, was a personal exhibition of the artist.
The work of Oleg Kartasheva are kept in many art museums of Russia.
