Biography and information

Schedule. He studied at the Moscow art College of memory 1905 (1958-1960). Member of the Union of artists of the USSR.Participant of exhibitions: regional (1970,1975); zonal (1974,1980); Republican (1972,1977,1981);Union (1973); overseas (Burma,Switzerland,Czechoslovakia,Mongolia,Iraq, 1971);foreign (Hungary,Ceylon,USA, 1972); overseas (Germany,Cyprus,Canada,Yugoslavia,Mongolia,Iraq, 1973) His work is recognized and popular in the 60-70-ies of the 20th century, memorable to many art lovers and virtually unknown to the younger generations. His works are kept in the collections of the art Museum, from private persons, but, alas, not met by a broad audience.
Sergiy Kozhayev worked in different techniques and genres. This is a very talented man, not disclosed in full, before he passed away, all my potential creative possibilities. He had an extraordinary temperament, their own views of the world and man, strong, vigorous manner of painting, mastery of compositional and coloristic solutions. Portrait works reflect the everyday monotony mixed with poster pathos of socialist realism. They are also marked by time. S. Kozhayev was endowed with intuition, and the ability to penetrate the psychology, to understand the inner essence of his models. Men's looks are restrained, and austere. Children's portraits in a natural, expressive, written warmly, with affection, but in them — a childish seriousness, unsmiling, as if life has already infected their older concerns. But "Portrait of contemporaries" introduces a different emphasis in a portrait gallery: the triumph of femininity, of youth and freshness, beauty and charm. The feminine overcomes the dull routine
