Petrovich Komardenkov

He graduated from the Stroganov art school (1917), VKHUTEMAS (1919). 1912-1917 — the artist-decorator at the Opera Zimin (Moscow), 1918-1925, artist Chamber, Small and other Moscow theatres. From 1925 he worked in the movie.

Painter, scenographer. A member of the Union of Soviet artists since 1932.

He studied first privately under D. shcherbinovsky, then at the Stroganov school of industrial art and Mugusa.

From 1914 to 1917 he worked (together with F. F. Fedorov, I. A. Malyutin and others) the artist of a scene in the Opera Zimin in Moscow, then, from 1918 to 1925, the artist – decorator in the Moscow Chamber theater ay Tairov. In 20-ies – 30-ies was the art Director of movies (the most famous work – the film "the foundling", 1939).

In 1919 Komardenkov became one of the founders of the "Society of young artists" (IBMOHU).

From 1945 to 1973 he taught at the Stroganov school. Since 1971 – Professor of painting.

The artist's works are kept in many museums of Russia, as well as in the Theater Museum im. A. A. Bakhrushin.
