Vladimirovna Konovalova-Kovrigina

Painter. Member of the Union of artists of the USSR.

Born in 1915 in Nerchinsk in the family mining engineer. In 1932 in Moscow, graduated from the Lithographic art College. In 1936 he entered the Moscow GOV't. khudozh. Institute. V. I. Surikov, which he graduated after world war II in 1945 In 1941, worked in the city of Perm in Agitmaterial Perm Union of artists. Painter works in the genre of portrait and still life.

Honored Artist Of Russia.

From 1932 to 1936 he studied at the VKHUTEMAS (teachers S. Matveev and E. N. Yaqub).

In 1936 he entered the Moscow State Art Institute. V. I. Surikov (teacher P. D. pokarzhevskii). His studies were interrupted by world war II. Tatiana Konovalova-Kovrigina moved to Perm, where, until 1943, working in the "Agitato", curators which was then prominent masters of Soviet art Fedor Reshetnikov and Boris Ioganson.

In 1945 graduated from the Institute. Thesis "the Nazis came" was named by p. P. Konchalovsky – Chairman of the examination Committee – one of the best works of issue. In 1947 he joined the Union of Artists of the USSR.

Solo exhibition Konovalova-Kovrigina was held in 2000 in Moscow.

Works are kept in the Tver Art Gallery, Tambov Regional Art Gallery, the Rostov Regional Museum of Fine Arts.
