Biography and information

Born in the village of Kutulik Irkutsk lips. From 1903 to 1904 he studied at the Kazan art school from 1905 to 1906 in the Studio of the Seidenberg in St. Petersburg from 1906 to 1910 he was in Paris at the académie Julian. From 1910 to 1932 he taught in his own Studio - workshop (later reorganized into Irkutsk art College). Among his pupils were A. I. Vologdin, N. In.Shabalin, I. M., Dubinsky, V. P. Tomilovskaya, A. P. zhibinov, A. I., Boyko, S. K. Gvozdev, and many others. In 1932 he moved to Leningrad. C 1932 to 1941 he taught at the Russian Academy of arts. Delight the first all-Siberian Congress of artists (1926). Member RSDLP since 1904

Solo exhibition was held in 1916

Sorry poems I. L. Kopylov, except for a few dilapidated scenery sketches and small watercolours from the archive of Johma, has not survived. There is evidence that after his personal exhibition in Irkutsk, he destroyed all of his paintings.
