Ivanovich Kormashov

Painter. Member of the Union of artists of the USSR.

Honored artist of the Estonian SSR.

Painter, Nar. hood. Ect.SSR (1981). He graduated from the Ivanovo art. Uch-school (1951) and Tallinn hood. in-t (1957). Lived and worked in Tallinn. The author, thematic and genre paintings of industrial landscapes, portraits of "Fishermen" (1963), "reinforced Concrete" (1965), "the Young builders" (1967), "Meal" (1968), "Casualties of war" (1969, triptych), "My Estonia" (1973), "Nike" (1984) and other works.

Born in 1929 in the village of Turgenevo (Vladimir region). After graduating in 1951, Ivanovo art College he entered the State art Institute of the Estonian SSR (today's Estonian Academy of arts) in the painting Department, from which he graduated in 1957. Part in exhibitions since 1957.

Since 1975, honored artist of the Estonian SSR since 1980 - people's artist of Estonia.

Work Kormashova located in Tallinn and Tartu art Museum, the State Tretyakov gallery, the Russian Museum in St. Petersburg, in art museums of Perm, Vologda, Tyumen, Pskov, Yerevan, and collections in Finland, Sweden, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, etc.
