Was born in Petrozavodsk. Honored artist of Russia. He graduated from the Institute of painting, sculpture and architecture.And.E.Repin (1952). He studied with Professor V. M. Oreshnikov. From 1962, he taught at this Institute, first as assistant Professor, then Professor. Participant of art exhibitions since 1952. His works are in art museums in Gorno-Altaysk, Novgorod, Omsk, Orenburg, Stavropol, Kirov, Krasnodar, Moscow, Saint-Petersburg and in private collections in Russia and abroad (Germany, France, Spain, Italy).
