People's artist of Russia (2001). Teacher Fighting Positions. He graduated from the Moscow art school memory of 1905, and the art Department of the all-Union state Institute of cinematography. For 25 years he worked at the Studio "Mosfilm", where he completed an artistic decision 20 films, including such widely known as "the Tale of Tsar Saltan", "Jamila", "Vasily and Vasilisa", "highland", "Home", "the Enchanted wanderer", "the Crew", etc. Began to exhibit in 1964: six solo exhibitions in Moscow, Saint-Petersburg, Ryazan and Vologda. A constant participant of Moscow, Republican, all-Russian and international exhibitions. Four times nominated for the State prize. Awarded the Gold medal of the Russian Academy of arts (2005). The artist's works are in the Tretyakov gallery (Moscow) and other art museums and private collections in Russia and abroad.
