Alekseevich Kuznetsov

Painter. Member of the Union of artists of the USSR.

(1921, d. Aleksino, Starorussky district-2000). Member of the Union of artists. Honored artist of the RSFSR. In 1959 he graduated from MGHI them. V. I. Surikov. Participant of regional, zonal, regional exhibitions. The artist's works are in regional museums and private collections.

Nikolai Kuznetsov can rightly be called the founder of the decorative and ornamental style – phenomenon arose at the intersection of folk and academic art. One of the main themes of creativity of Nikolay Kuznetsova, which brought him fame, was the textile industry. The artist created a series of portraits and genre compositions which heroines are women weavers.

Solo exhibition was held in 1982 in Moscow.

Works are in private collections in Russia and abroad.
