Biography and information

Born July 21, 1946., he spent his childhood and youth in old Palace village Pistsovo, 300 km North-East of Moscow.

According to legend, here, at the headwaters wetlands of the river Uvod, the monks wrote the annals. It is known that men pestovskiy carpenters built a wooden Kremlin in Moscow, and the women wove the canvas.

Childhood, like many Russians, was difficult. A loaf of bread, margarine and sugar on the table is considered a holiday. Mother – Ekaterina Vasilevna(nee Harcovei), at the time had three children to feed, and Shoe wear. At the end of the "cold summer" of 1953 went to school.

In the autumn of 1960 met the first professional artist – teacher and friend Valery Ivanovich Iurasova. He heard the words: drawing, painting, composition; the names of great Russian artists Savrasov, Surikov, Nesterov and our countryman Pavel Dmitrievich Korin.

In 1965 he entered the Palekh art College, and in 1971 he graduated from the Ivanovo, after which he was sent to Tyumen.

Since 1974 V. N. Kukushkin works in the art Fund of the Russian Federation. In 1984 he graduated from art-graphic faculty of Nizhny Tagil pedagogical Institute.

In our country the works of the painter are in the art Fund of the Union of artists of Russia, in the Tyumen art gallery, Pestovskoe a textile factory and in the collections of other museums, businesses and organizations.

A number of paintings and graphic works are in art galleries and private collections in Finland, Sweden, Germany, France, Bulgaria, Yugoslavia and Venezuela.

In 1992 he founded and headed the Siberian Academy of arts.
