Was born in Moscow. In 1962 he graduated from the art faculty of VGIK (workshop Yu. Pimenov). Since 1962 he has been working on to/from "Mosfilm": the costume designer, 1975 — art Director. Worked as a costume designer in the Theater. Mayakovsky, the Malaya Bronnaya Theatre, Moscow art theatre. Gorky.

Honored worker of culture of the RSFSR (1974). Honored artist of Russia (1995). The gold Pushkin medal "For contribution to the development, preservation and augmentation of traditions of domestic culture" (1999).
