The member of artists Union (AU) of the USSR from the beginning of the 30s, Graduated from the Samara theological Seminary (1905), a private drawing school in the C-Petersburg (hands. J. S. Goldblatt), PED. courses C-peterb. Academy of fine arts (hands. A. V. Makovsky, 1909). In Bashkiria L. lived in 1906-18 and 1944-57. In 1906-10, he taught art and headed the art room in the Seminary and the gymnasium in the village of Annunciation Plant (now the city of Blagoveshchensk RB), from 1910 teacher graphic. arts Ufimsk. husband. school. In 1912 participated in the 4-th Intern. Congress in Germany on the issues of hood. education. In 1912-18 he taught Ufimsk. the teachers ' Institute and the real Uch-school. In 1915 he organized the art room in Ufa. He exposed his works at exhibitions of the Peredvizhniki group (1914-15), "Life - creativity" (1924), "Fire-color" (1929), Association graphs, Russia (1920), Ufa. of the society of art lovers (1916-18). Since 1922 he lived and worked in Moscow. In 1937 arrested. In 1944-57 was on a special regime in the Ufa and in Knyazevo village Iglinskiy district, worked in Partnership "Basadoni" (now hood. Fund CX RB), taught Ufimsk. theatre.-hood. Uch-school (1945-46), the College of food industry (1945-47), Ufimsk. oil. the Institute (1948). Lessons with Professor L. the path in Fig. art started the bash. artists R. M. Nurmukhametov, K. A. Golovchenko, S. A. Litvinov, Yu. a. Fourtet, G. I. Mukhamedshin, F. B. Domashnikov, A. A. Kuznetsov etc.
After his rehabilitation in 1957 he moved to Moscow. Personal exhibitions took place in 1965 and 1983 (Ufa), in 1973 (Moscow). In 1973 more than 200 works (paintings, watercolors) L. gave the Art Museum. M. V. Nesterov. In 1957, 1959 and 1971 with the band bash. hood. made creative. trip to Bashkortostan and Vologda region.
