Russia • born in 1939

Professor, Deputy head of Department of monumental painting art-Industrial Academy. Stieglitz, Honorary worker of higher professional education of Russia, winner of the Silver medal of the Russian Academy of Arts. World fame came to him in the sixties when he, together with his friends A. Zaslavsky and A. by Kondurova, fought for the right of the artist to their own, distinct from socialist realism, a movement in art. Now his works are already classics and are exhibited in leading museums around the world.

Born in 1939 in Vologda region, Cherepovets district, village Dugino. Finished in 1968, the Supreme art-industrial school im. Mukhina (currently Saint-Petersburg state art-industrial Academy named after Baron Stieglitz), workshop of Professor Gleb Alexandrovich Savinov. Since 1970, teaches at the Department of monumental painting in the same school. Professor, honorary worker of Higher school of Russia. Participant of international, all-Union and zonal exhibitions. Paintings and graphic works are in private collections in Russia, USA, Germany, Poland and other countries.

Major works:

Participation in the creation of monuments to the first astronauts in Kazakhstan;

Work on the backdrop for a joint Soviet-American film "Blue bird";

Monumental works in St.-Petersburg, Anapa, Tuapse, Dimitrovgrade, Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, Kazakhstan
