Biography and information

Honored artist of Russia. In 1949 he finished the Irkutsk art school and Leningrad Institute of applied arts. V. I. Mukhina.In 1954 he participated in regional, Republican and all-Union exhibitions. His work has been exhibited at international auctions in Japan, Italy, USA, England, Belgium, Sweden and other countries. Yury Matushevsky works are in private collections of different countries. Most of the works written in the town of Vyshny Volochek, where recent years the artist lived. Yury Matushevsky, the representative of the Vladimir school. The brightness of color and traditional shape, which was inherent in the representatives of this school, exerted a lasting influence on all his work.
