the Dutch painter. The younger brother of Karel Fabricius, probably a pupil of Rembrandt. Lived in Bestera (1659-1670), Leiden (1657-1659), Amsterdam (1652, 1670-1673). Portraits, paintings on biblical and mythological themes, mostly small in size, often interpreted in the spirit of the genre. Widely written in the early works felt a strong influence of Rembrandt ("Simeon-gostepriimen"). In the later period transferred to the more bright and colorful decorative scheme (the"Ruth and Boaz", 1660).
