The composition of the painting "Marriage" artist Ivan Nikiforov builds as a story about the event. He draws the crowd in detail, tries to convey the interior decoration of the church, depicts in detail the iconostasis, the Royal Gates, the lectern, candelabra. In the center of the painting - the figures of the bridegroom, bride and the priest, who circles the young around the analoy. The faces of the saints on the icons and the faces of the wedding participants are very similar.
