Biography and information

Born in Zvenigorod province into a peasant family almost immediately moved to Moscow. In 1914 he graduated from the 2nd city College. The liberation of the peasants. The teacher brought it in Sytinskiy school. In 1921 he enrolled in the Higher art-industrial workshops of printing business in the printing office of I. D. Sytin in Moscow, where he studied under L. F. Regina, N. M. Chernyshev, M. S. Rodionov, S. V. Gerasimov, M. A. Dobrov. He then taught in the same workshop, and later, until 1937, in various art schools. Member and Exhibitor Association "Makovets", "Path of painting". In 1927, started in the Studio of I. I. Nivinsky. In 1934 he began to issue books for the publishing house "Soviet writer" (the main artist of the publishing house until 1951), worked with various other publishers. In 1939 — 1940 were issued a decade of Tajik art. Member of Moscow Union of artists since 1938.
