Painter. Member of the Union of artists of the USSR.
Born in 1938 in the city of Astrakhan.
In 1956 graduated from the Moscow secondary art school and in the same year he entered the Moscow art Institute. V. I. Surikov, which he graduated with honors in 1962.
Since 1964, is a member of the Union of artists of Russia. First exhibited in 1961, while still a student of the Institute, at the 6th youth festival in Moscow and since then, until recently, involved in numerous art exhibitions of all ranks and of many regions. The participant of several international and personal exhibitions abroad and at Home.
How the artist was influenced by Russian, especially Moscow school of painting and French impressionism.
The highest achievement fine art finds of old Russian painting. Itself belongs to the artists of "soil" direction and aim, as opposed to many authors who write objectively and with humanist positions.
Parunov works mainly in the genres of thematic easel painting, portrait, landscape and still life.
Wrote a series of paintings on the themes of present and past wars: paintings "Physics" (1964), "On the ranges" (1965), "the Poets" (1967), "Before the court" (1968), "Casters" (1972), "the Red sun of Siberia" (1980), "Stalingrad" (1975-1985), "the Red Madonna" (1988), and others.
Finished (1977-1988) a great historical picture of "Russia" , dedicated to the memory of Mikhail Nesterov.
The great cycle of his works dedicated to the Russian countryside, leaving in the past and unclaimed due to the Patriarchy of the old order of social relations, especially in the provinces (of the painting "Over the lake" (1974), "Morning in the village" (1974), "Summer" (1984), "Always together" (1984), "Talk" (1986), "Waiting" (1989-1996), and others.)
By Boris Barchunova are in the collections of the State Tretyakov gallery, the Museum of the Revolution, the Armed Forces Museum, regional museums, some foreign, as well as in private collections in Russia, USA, Canada, England, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, Finland, China, Japan, Korea, Australia, Cyprus, Turkey, Colombia and several countries of the world.
