Biography and information

Painter. Member of the Union of artists of the USSR.

 

Born in 1923 in the village of Bean in Saratov region. In 1931 his family was dispossessed and moved from Russia to Kazakhstan. There he lived his entire adult life. Fought in the great Patriotic war. After demobilization in 1950 he came back to Karaganda. Art education is not received. He was self-educated. From 1951 he began to participate in art exhibitions in Almaty, Karaganda, Moscow, Leningrad, Sevastopol, Kyzyl, Gurzuf, Poland. In 1997 his work was presented at the International exhibition of naive art "INSITA" in Bratislava (Slovakia). In the same year held a solo exhibition at the Museum of naive art in Moscow. Works are in Karaganda and Moscow, the Museum of naive art.
