Yakovlevich Senkin

Born 1884 in the village of Pokrovskoe-Streshnevo.

1914-1915 he Studied at the Moscow school of painting, sculpture and architecture (MUZHVZ).

1915-1918 Military service in the tsarist, and later in the red army.

1918-1919 attended a workshop of Malevich Moscow Svomas. A trip to the Urals.

1920 the class was Supervised by VKhUTEMAS. Close collaboration with Lissitzky and Klutsis.

1920 Worked as an artist of propaganda for the red army in Yekaterinburg.

In the fall of 1920 he returned to Moscow and continued his studies at the VKhUTEMAS.

In 1921 he gave up painting.

1922-1923 Together with Klutsis sought the establishment of an experimental Studio propaganda (Studio revolution) at VKhUTEMAS.

From 1923, was engaged in engraving, book design and posters.

1923 -1925 becomes a member of the group "LEF".

1928 becomes a member of the group "October". Deputy artistic Director of the design of the exhibition "Pressa" in Cologne.

The late 20-ies—early 30-ies performed many posters in collaboration with Klutsis.

1934 Fulfilled the orders of ceramic industry design.

1963 Died in Moscow.
