Painter. Member of the Union of artists of the USSR. People's artist of the Latvian SSR, Kandidat of art history.

1925.20.IX Riga. Father OTO Skulme is an artist, mother Marta Skulme – sculptor.

1949. - graduated from the Academy of Arts, Department of monumental painting with honors (thesis "the Holiday song").
