Born in 1925 in Leningrad. Since 1943, the participant of the great Patriotic war. Awarded the order of red Star and medals. After the war he entered the Institute of painting, sculpture and architecture. I. E. Repin. His teachers were V. V. Sokolov, K. I. Rudakov, G. D. Epifanov, M. A. Taranov, A. F. Pakhomov. In 1953 graduated from the faculty of graphics. Together with A. A. by Troshichev, V. A. and V. M. Vetrogonsky Svantovit in 1957 led the first student practice in the Pushkin Reserve. Svyatogorsky monastery, Mikhailovskoye, Trigorskoye and Petrovskoye become an integral part of the biography of the artist. Landscapes 1969-1988 years dedicated to Pushkinogorie.
