Member of the Union of artists of the USSR. Honored artist of Russia, painter and graphic artist.

Alexey Sokolenko — faceted artist, a painter great lyrical talent. Works in different types and genres of fine art – a portrait, scene composition, still life and landscape. While any genre he raises to the level of the picture. His landscapes — urban or natural motifs, the objective world still lifes — all live their full-blooded, filled with relationships and feelings of life is undoubtedly humanized. His portraits and genre scenes full of charm and sincere attitude of the artist. Even small sketches reveal a world of sentiments and experiences. A special gift of the painter, the tsvetovik, feeling the slightest nuanced state, backed by a decorative beginning. This decorative, full color sense of life is the thinking of artist – folk, mythological, hedonistic perception of the world. His compositions are often fiction and fantasy infused with reality: the familiar childhood tales the spirits of nature to interfere in a person's life – helping, playing pranks, watching. The world, nature is full of wonderful images and transformations, open and sensitive, ready for a revelation to the artist.

In the chart Sokolenko works in the techniques of watercolor, pastels, drawing. The plane of the sheet – not a soulless, neutral field, it is a full member of the composition. The artist avoids stiffness. Melodious, smooth lines of the pattern, juicy and soft shading of pastels, loose streaks of watercolor create a light, masterful composition, close to folk song melodies.

The main quality of the artist is to work at the living experience. This means – believe life, the world, take it for what it is, and then in the urban interior can fly angel.
