Was born in Chita. He studied at the Irkutsk art school (1966-1970), Moscow state art Institute. V. I. Surikov (1970-1976) Y. K. Korolev. Member of the Union of artists of Russia since 1992.
Participates in art exhibitions since 1976. The artist's works are exhibited at the all-Russian, interregional, regional exhibitions.
Lives and works in Vologda since 1976. The works are in Vologda regional picture gallery, in museums of local lore of the Vologda region, private collections in Russia and abroad.
The artist works in oil painting in the genre of landscape. Major works: a series of landscapes "Ancient cities and memorable places of the Vologda region" (1980-1990s), a series of landscapes "Nature of the Russian North" (1970-1990s).
