Zakharovich Tanklevsky

Leonid Z. Tanklevsky (born in 1906, died in 1984) was a Russian artist born in Kiev. Here he received the higher art education, graduating in 1927 Kiev art Institute. In addition, an outstanding painter he studied in the Studio of the Association of artists of revolutionary Russia, an organization that was considered one of the largest and most influential in the 20-ies of the last century. The band included sculptors, painters and graphic artists supported by the state. After the closure of the Studio AHRR in Moscow Tanklevsky graduated from College in memory of 1905.

The features of creativity of Leonid Zakharovich of Tanklevskaya: the famous artist painted mainly in the style of realism. Many of his works devoted to the great Patriotic War: sketches, pencil drawings from the field of battle, images of soldiers and large-scale paintings. Painter also participated in creating war posters. Dedication To A. S. Pushkin

One of the most famous paintings of Leonid Zakharovich of Tanklevskaya dedicated to the last moments of life his favorite poet, in the words of the artist, "the eternal other", poetry and prose which has always supported and guided him even in the works. The picture painted by the artist in 1949. To work on her, Tanklevsky began even before the war, creating more than thirty sketches of one of the most tragic scenes in the history of Russian literature. Apparently applying the final touches prevented not only war: Leonid Zakharovich needed to find a unique idea, to be inspired and to feel a particular mood. After he went to Leningrad and visited the famous apartment on the Moika embankment, 12, everything became crystal clear. Seen Tanklevsky personal things of the poet, his books, the atmosphere in the house, helped the artist to complete the painting in accordance with his feelings and thoughts.
