Biography and information

Born October 25, 1922 in Bakharevo village, Tver region.

In 1949 Victor Teterin graduated from the Repin Institute of arts in Repin Mikhail Avilov workshop.

Had studied of Semion Abugov, Genrikh Pavlovsky, and Gleb Savinov, Alexander Osmerkin.

Participant of exhibitions since 1949.

Member of the Leningrad Union of artists since 1953.

He painted portraits, landscapes, still lifes, genre scenes. Worked in watercolors and oil painting.

Taught at the higher school of industrial art named after V. I. Mukhina (1949-1956).

His personal exhibitions were in Leningrad (1966) and St. Petersburg (1999).

Born in the village of bakharevs tebleshskogo district of Tver region in a peasant family. In 1930, along with his parents moved to Leningrad. The act of drawing brings the future of the first artist in the art Studio of Palace of Pioneers, where he engaged in the years 1936-1938 teachers Gurevich, Eberlinga, Korobovskoe, and then in the private Studio of A. Eberlinga.

In 1940 V. Teterin arrives at the secondary Art school under all-Russian Academy of Arts, studying with M. Natarevich, O. Bogaevsky, P. Naumov. In February 1942, along with the SHSH evacuated from besieged Leningrad to Samarkand. In September 1943, came to Moscow and entered the first year of the scenic Department of the Institute named after V. Surikov.

In may 1944 V. Teterin transferred to the first year of the picturesque offices izhsa named Ilya Repin in Leningrad, is engaged in the Studio of Alexander Osmerkin. In 1949, he graduated from the Institute (with the departure of A. Osmerkin workshop took M. Avilov) graduation painting " Stalin in Solvychegodsk link."

In 1949, V. Teterin, on the recommendation of M. Avilova, V. Oreshnikov and Pavlovsky adopted a candidate member of the Leningrad CCX, and in 1953 transferred from the candidate members of the Leningrad Union of artists.

Since 1949, he participated in exhibitions of Leningrad artists. From 1949 to 1956 he teaches at the Department of painting lvhpu name Mukhina. Simultaneously a lot of creative works, Leningrad paints landscapes, still lifes, genre scenes. Later in the years 1960-1980 and made numerous creative trips to the Crimea and to the old cities.

In painting V. Teterina noticeable impact A. Osmerkin and artists of the circle of "Jack of diamonds", the fascination with Henri Matisse. The artist is attracted by the color, rhythm and transmission of light and air, these tasks are subject to fairly conventional composition and drawing, which have V. In 1967, 1988 and 1999 in Leningrad (now St Petersburg) held a joint exhibition of works by V. Teterina and E. Antipova. In 1972 V. Teterin has participated in the exhibition of works by Leningrad artists of eleven, in 1988, in an exhibition of works by 26 Leningrad and Moscow artists.

V. Teterin died in 1991. His works are in State Russian Museum, numerous art museums and private collections in Russia and abroad. They repeatedly reproduced in the press including in the monographs and catalogues of exhibitions and auctions of Russian art in France, England, Japan, Germany and other countries.
