Painter. Member of the Union of artists of the USSR. People's artist of Russia, Honored worker of culture of RSFSR. Studied in VKhUTEMAS–N. N. Kupriyanov, and also at the Moscow Institute of fine arts at the Academy of Arts in the Department of advanced training of painters V. N. Baksheeva. Member of the Association of AHRR (1929-1932). In 1941 he organized the "TASS Windows" (Brigade DEETS). Personal exhibitions of the artist were held in Moscow. Works are in state Tretyakov gallery, the state Russian Museum.
