Pavlovich Tolkunov

Russia • born in 1917

Painter. Member of the Union of artists of the USSR. Honored artist of the RSFSR, Professor. In 1942 he graduated from the Moscow art Institute, he studied at the Sergei Gerasimov. Party-Union , Republican and regional art institutions exhibitions from 1938 he Taught at the Moscow state art Institute. V. I. Surikov in 1960 the artist's Works are in the Tretyakov gallery, in many regional museums and international collections.

Honored artist of the RSFSR.

In 1942 he graduated from the Moscow State Art Institute. V. I. Surikov in the workshop of Sergei Gerasimov (teachers P. D. Pokarzhevsky, V. V. Pochitalov).

In 1960-1966 he taught in the same Institute, associate Professor since 1964

In 1953 Nikolai Tolkunov became one of the three Soviet artists, has officially admitted to sketch the funeral of Stalin.

Fame master brought a picture "the Brest. 1941" "salute. 1945", "Portrait of the cosmonaut Alexei Leonov", "Forty-nine days in the ocean", "the cranes are Flying".

1945 – participant of all-Union and all-Russian exhibitions.

Works are in State Tretyakov gallery, the Museum of the Armed Forces (Moscow), Museum of History of Moscow, regional art museums of the former USSR.
