Honored artist of the RSFSR.

In 1941-1945, he fought in the West, Volkhov, Leningrad fronts. Participated in the defense of Brest (1941), the lifting of the blockade of Leningrad (1943-1944).

In 1952 he graduated from the Latvian Academy of arts, where he studied with Professor Tillberga.

Made creative trips to Pskov, Velikiy Novgorod, Pereslavl-Zalesskiy. However, a significant part of the artist's work was connected with the Academic dacha them. I. E. Repin (Tver oblast), where he lived and worked since the late 1950s.

Personal exhibitions took place in Moscow (1990, 1991, 1992, 1996, 2003), Vyshny Volochok (2005).

Works are kept in the Tver art gallery, art Museum of Krasnodar, other regional museums of the former USSR.

Was repeatedly awarded with diplomas of the Moscow organization of the Union of artists of the RSFSR. Worked in the field of military subjects, portraits, landscapes, still life Party-Union, Republican and Moscow exhibitions.

He died in Moscow in 2004.
