Biography and information

Honored art worker of the RSFSR (1957). Born in D. Kolesino Nizhny Novgorod province. Graduated from the Kazan art school (1908-1913). He studied at the Russian Academy of arts (1913-1918). Worked in the field of genre paintings, portraits, landscapes. The author of the industrial paintings devoted to the construction of Gas, busy weekdays Sormovo shipyard. Made a great contribution to the establishment and development of the Nizhny Novgorod organization of the Union of artists. Member of the Union of artists of Russia since 1934. In art exhibitions participated since 1908. 1928 - participant of art exhibitions AHRR, AHR, zonal ("Great Volga", 1964), Republican (Moscow, 1928), all-Union (Moscow, 1928, 1948) art exhibitions. Solo exhibitions: N. Novgorod, 1925; Gorky, 1952, 1957, 1962, 1982. Chairman of the Board of Gorky Union of artists of the RSFSR (1945-1948).
