He was born in 1885 in Dmitrovsk, Oryol province, has lived a long life, ending it in Odessa in 1969.
Studied painting in St. Petersburg from 1909 to 1913, before the revolution, moved to Odessa, where he continued his education, doing in 1921 - 1927 in Odessa Institute P. Volokidin, T. Dvornikova, V. Sause. In 1928 in Odessa A. D. Chemezov presented his first solo exhibition.
Fate was unkind to Chemisova as he remained in occupation. But despite all the hardships, taught, participated in the exhibition of 1942. Thanks to him were saved archive of the works of Vladimir Popov. Among Odessa artists were known as the furious painter, who never parted with a pencil, ink, pen entire adult life. Thanks to the drawings of urban landscapes by the artist are stored in Odessa art Museum and private collections we have a more complete view of the city, the people of Odessa 50-60s .
