Vladimir S. Chernetsov was born on 5 Dec 1907 in Tula. In 1921 the family Chernetsov moved to Moscow. In 1926-1927 learning in the art Studio at the library. V. I. Surikov and the Studio AHRR. Between 1927 and enrolled at the graphics faculty of VKhUTEMAS-Vhuteina. In 1931 he graduated from Moscow printing Institute. In 1934, illustrates the book Yuri Tynianov "Kuhle". In 1938-1939, and in 1947-1948 involved in the works of the Studio of monumental painting at the Academy of architecture of the USSR. In 1941 mobilized to the front. From 1943 to 1946 served in the militia in Moscow. From 1948 to 1968 working as the head of the Department of artistic design in the magazine "Around the world". 1934 and periodically participates in exhibitions: young artists of the RSFSR, the Seventh exhibition of Moscow Union of artists (1940), the 6th exhibition of artists books, the Third exhibition of watercolours by Moscow artists (1957), the Seventh exhibition of book graphics Moscow (1959). In 1960 held only during the life of a personal exhibition of V. S. Chernetsov in the Mosh. Died 2 February 1969 in Moscow. Posthumously, an exhibition and an evening in memory of the artist in the Pushkin Museum. A. S. Pushkin (1969), the exhibition in the Mosh, dedicated to the seventieth anniversary of the birth of V. S. Chernetsov (1977). The works of V. S. Chernetsov stored in the State Museum of Karakalpakstan them. I. V. Savitsky in Nukus, the State Tretyakov gallery, State Museum of fine arts. A. S. Pushkin in Moscow.
