Born 16 Feb 1924 in Aya village, Altai district of the Altai territory.

He graduated from the Kharkov state art Institute.

Painter. Worked in the genre of portrait, landscape, thematic composition.

A participant of regional, zonal, Republican and international exhibitions.

Member of the Union of artists of Russia since 1964.

Major works:

"Shepherd" 1961 (GHMC),

"Altai. Autumn morning" 1969 (GHMC),

"Geophysics" 1967 (GHMC),

"Time of flowering of maralnik in the Chuya river" (GHMC),

"On the threshold of eternity" (GHMC),

"Carlike" (GHMC).

A member of the artists Union of the RSFSR (1964). Born in the village of Aya, now the Altai region of Altai Krai. In 1957 he graduated from the faculty of painting Kharkov state art Institute, came to Barnaul. In the work of Chernova reflected the theme of the virgin lands, nature of Altai, the images of his contemporaries, working people. Author of thematic paintings, landscapes, portraits. A participant of regional, zonal, Republican and international exhibitions. From 1967 to 1971 -- before. Board Alt. organization CX RSFSR. Many of the works of Chernov are in the State art Museum of Altai territory: "the Shepherd" (1961), a series of "Ob virgin" (1961-64, in co-authorship with V. F. Dobrovolsky), "Altai highlands" (1967), "the Teletskoye lake" (1976), "Surlice" (1964), "self-Portrait" (1985). Buried in Barnaul.
