Biography and information

Painter. Member of the Union of artists of the USSR.

Born may 22, 1935 in Moscow into the family of the famous artist Semyon Chuikov, the author of the painting "the Daughter of Soviet Kirghizia"[2]. From 1954 to 1960 he studied at the Moscow state art Institute. V. I. Surikov. From 1960 to 1962 he taught at the Vladivostok art College. In the late 1960-ies Ivan Chuikov burned almost all his paintings[2].

In 1968 he joined the Union of artists of the USSR. In 1988, several works of Ivan Chuikov was sold at auction "Sotheby's" in Moscow. Lives and works in Moscow and Cologne[3].
