Born in 1938 in Vladivostok.
In 1961 he graduated from the Ural Polytechnic Institute. S. M. Kirov in 1961, but on a speciality never worked.
Since 1962 – participant of professional exhibitions. As a muralist is the author of numerous projects of common artistic solution for the buildings and facilities of the Ural cities of Ekaterinburg, Tyumen, Magnitogorsk, Kurgan, etc., as well as the author and artist of monumental-decorative works - mosaics, paintings, works on metal, etc.
Since 1970 - member of the Union of artists of Russia.

Art V. Chursina full of happy feeling and poetic power over life in all its manifestations. Direct perception, the artist replaces the sign of celebration, a festive game or a holiday, easily immersing the audience in the spirit of dances, beauty pageants, resort pleasures and the famous Parisian variety show. Like many artists of his generation, V. Chursina attracted to stories and images of the parable, the eternal theme in art.
