Description of the artwork «Hyacinths at the tree»

In 2002, the painting was acquired by the Nizhny Tagil Museum from the artist’s son, M.M. Shemyakin, Moscow.

In still lifes, Shemyakin tried to express an elegiac mood with a slight touch of sadness. This helped him favorite flowers - the most delicate hyacinths, which often appear in his paintings. Sometimes flowers are presented in front of their beauty, sometimes - drooping, having lost its former solemn look. (Museum of Russian impressionism, Moscow)
