Biography and information

Was born in 1943. in the village of Vyatskie Polyany of the Kirov region, where his family was evacuated during the war. With 1944. lives in Moscow. In 1954 61gg. he studied at the Moscow secondary art school at the Academy of arts of the USSR. In 1961 66гг. studied at the Moscow Higher art-industrial school (former Stroganov), 1966-69 - at the Moscow Polygraphic Institute, specializing in graphic artist. Since 1969. member of the municipal Committee. Since 1986. member of the Union of artists of the USSR. In July of 1986. was expelled from the artists Union after the article "fish in the muddy pond" in the newspaper "Soviet culture" and restored in the fall of 1989. Participates in exhibitions since 1968.

Works are in State Tretyakov gallery, Moscow; State Russian Museum, Saint Petersburg; the Ludwig Museum, Aachen, Germany; Museum Zimmerli, new Brunswick, new Jersey, USA; and in private collections in Russia, USA, Germany, Israel, Finland, etc.
