Ukraine • 1898−1931

Born into a Jewish family. He studied the art of jewelry making. There is an assumption that in 1914 he studied at the Kiev Academy Alexandra Exter. From 1923 he lived in Berlin, was a set designer and costume designer at the Jewish theatre.In 1926 he moved to Paris, became close friends with Chagall, Soutine, Larionov, Goncharova. First solo exhibition in 1929. Died of a heart attack. His retrospective exhibition was organized in the Palace of the Tuileries. Later work Minchina, educational achievements of cubism and expressionism, to the greatest extent close to sutina and mane-Katz (actually Emmanuel Katz, 1894-1962), successfully exhibited in London, Glasgow, new York, Bergamo, Milan, Rome, Haifa. A large retrospective exhibition Minchin was held in 2000 in Paris Montparnasse Museum in 2004 – "the Lost angel of Montparnasse" in the Galleria Michelangelo in Bergamo.
