In 1806, admitted to the Academy of fine Arts. In 1808 - 2 silver medals; in 1813 was awarded 2 gold medals in the task that represents "Loyalty to God and the Emperor of Russian citizens, who, being shot in Moscow, with a firm and pious spirit were going to die, not agreeing to do the commandment Napoleonico", but have not received such due to lack of liberties. In 1815 he graduated from the course with a diploma of the 1st degree and was left at the Academy; in 1817, expelled. Participated in the expedition sent to the Eastern ocean. In 1819 he lost his mind. At the Academy of Arts has a scholarship in his name. Painter historical. (Kondakov)
