Evacuated to Krasnoyarsk from the Donbass in 1942. G. P. Ermolaev graduated from the Kiev art Institute on the eve of the great Patriotic war. Her teachers were prominent Soviet artists Professor Volokidin and people's artist of USSR, academician A. Shovkunenko. Many artists who lived the war years in Krasnoyarsk, then returned to their homes. Ermolaeva was the Siberian. In Krasnoyarsk started her independent creative activities. Ermolaev creates a series of portraits of the working class and intelligentsia - "a Portrait of working PVRS tatianina", "Portrait of the poet I. Krasnoyarsk Christmas", "portrait of a teacher E. D. Soboleva". Since 1964, Ermolaeva leaves the portrait genre. Leading in her work becomes a still life. At the regional shows appear: "still life with garlic", "Blue set", "Lemons", "Khokhloma ware", "Apples", "the exhibition of applied art", "Skiing", and others.
