Gerasimov. One of the organizers of an art society "Growth", participant of the exhibitions of the group "Thirteen". From 1928 until the end of her life, the creative life was connected with Uzbekistan

The daughter of a hereditary icon painter. Elementary art education

in the Perm art College. In 1921 – 1927 studied at the VKhUTEMAS

A. Capon, R. Falk and S. Gerasimov.

In 1928, arrived in Uzbekistan on a business trip Paliskunta, Kashin makes the decision to stay in Sunny land forever.

The result of familiarity with the East becomes a series of works in which the influence of Western expressionism and primitivism. These works were exhibited at exhibitions of the art associations "Growth" and "13" (1929, Moscow) and was greeted very favorably.

After 2 years, when he held his first solo exhibition Cascina in Samarkand, her work has not aroused much enthusiasm. Blame the artist was "a departure from the study of reality" and "exotic", which was required to expel from work. Kashina had to deal with breaking the existing plastic language, henceforth it is "not a single stroke was not put without nature". But the impressionistic vision, the arbitrariness of the figure are found in the forties, and the final transition to realism was completed only a decade later.
