Alexandrovich Monin

Russia • 1896−1968

Studied in Vhuteine (?). He lived in Moscow. In the 1920s, was one of the leaders and taught painting in the Studio of the proletcult.

Worked in a realistic manner. Monin and other artists who worked in 1920-30, already did not belong to any art groups and were outside the official art was almost banned and returned to artistic life with perestroika. Works are in state Tretyakov gallery, Moscow and in private collections
