Painter-a landscape painter, theater artist. Studied in School of painting, sculpture and architecture (1880-1886), where he also taught (1901-1918). Since 1901 he worked as a theater artist in the theaters of Moscow and St. Petersburg. Participant of exhibitions: molh (1889,1892-1895, 1897), MTX (1893-1895, 1899, 1901), TPHV (1894), "exhibitions of 36 artists" (1901, 1902), "Union of Russian artists" (1903-1917). Founding member of the "Union of Russian artists". Was part of the Committee "Union" (1907, 1911 - 1913, 1916). Presented in the state Tretyakov gallery, state Russian Museum and other major museums and private collections.
