He studied at the Higher art and technical studios, Moscow (1921), in the Studio of A. Kelin, Moscow, (1923). He taught at the Gomel art Studio-school named after M. Vrubel (1920, 1924-1926), the Studio at the Palace of railwaymen, Gomel (1926-1941). Participated in exhibitions since 1911. Member of Belarusian Union of artists (1927-1932). He lived in Gomel.
