Korneevich Simonov

Painter. B. 28 Oct 1875 in S. Kapustina, now Poltava region - mind. July 12, 1957 in the town of Gagra, Abkhazia. Graduated from the Moscow school of painting, sculpture and architecture (1896-01), the Paris Academy of arts (1907). Member of Association of revolutionary art of Ukraine since 1928, the Association of artists of red Ukraine from 1928, of the Society. I. E. Repina (Moscow), member of the HO UAU from 1938. The participant of Republican and all-Union exhibitions since 1927. Solo exhibitions: Kharkiv - 1927. Taught at Kharkiv art Institute (1922-34; 1943-44; Professor from 1922); the Kharkov civil engineering Institute (1930-41; 1944-48).
